An artistic project exploring the meeting of fantasy and realism, featuring a small dragon in a dusty attic. The uniqueness of this project lies in the use of a custom-developed spiderweb simulation tool to add a unique level of detail.
The Scene: An Incense Burner Dragon
This project features a delicate Chinese incense burner dragon, discovered among the forgotten treasures of an attic. The goal was to create an atmosphere that is both mysterious and warm, playing with light filtering through the dust and highlighting the textures of old objects and the incense burner itself.
The Tool: Spiderweb Generator
The Spiderweb Generator HDA is a versatile and easy-to-use tool designed for Houdini users who want to add realistic spiderwebs to their 3D scenes. It allows you to create not only spiderwebs but also dust nests, bringing extra depth and texture to your environments.
This tool is designed to be as flexible as possible, offering a range of options to control the size, shape, and density of the webs. Although the tool is a "blackbox" (its internal workings are not accessible), this does not limit its use or the quality of the results. It integrates seamlessly into any Houdini production pipeline, making it a valuable addition to your 3D creation toolkit.
